Project Highlight: Biodiversity Conservation in Natural Bamboo Forests

The project established three sites in China to demonstrate innovative management practices and technologies to protect biodiversity and endangered bamboo species in plantation Moso bamboo forests and natural Qiongzhuea bamboo forests.

Together with project partners, INBAR created a portfolio of technologies, practices, and strategies to integrate biodiversity conservation in bamboo forest management.  The project helped establish a national partnership to promote biodiversity conservation policy and technology in natural bamboo forests.
